Name: Svetlana (Pronounced: svyet-LAN-ah)
Gender: Female
DEMON
Inhabitance: Trinity (Born) Trinity (Now)
Age: Sixteen in human years.
Rank: Knight
Appearance:
Svetlana is five foot one inch tall and she wears ankle high black leather combat boots. She has small white horns under her hat. The horns are similar to that of a goat, and are an inch long each. She carries herself lightly on normal terms, but in battle she becomes quite closed off and strong in stance. She wears little to no armor out of battle, but when in serious battle and she does wear armor it is lighter armor that lays closer to the body. She carries small knives and projectile blades on her at all times, but in times of battle she carries two short swords.
Personality:
Svetlana has two distinct sides to her. At first glance she appears a young bubbly girl. This is the side most people see. Svet acts much younger than her sixteen years, and is seen as a mere child. People cannot believe that she made it to the rank of knighthood, let alone is old enough to enter the schools. This condescension irritates her. A tally is kept for every time a certain individual treats her like, or calls her a child. Each tally is a sign that she has lost some respect for that individual. She keeps high spirits and a very positive attitude. A positive spin is put on almost every bad situation when she is around. It does not always bring others moods up, but it keeps herself happier. She does not like to be serious, and tries to avoid it at all means. This leads to her light and airy pranking nature. None of her pranks are that good, but they seem to make others smile. Keeping still is nearly impossible to her, she needs to move at almost all times to keep this body in good sync with her. She can always be seen fiddling with her hands, or shuffling her feet when there are no words coming out of her mouth. When others are talking to her this is seen at first as disrespect or lack of attention span, but its just the way she keeps herself connected. A very large smile is almost always plastered across her lips when she is in this mode.
A smile is rarely seen as her opposite. Her darker side comes out when she is threatened. Svetlana becomes very serious, to the point of almost being scary. This is where the instincts come in. It is the actual demon protecting her physical form. All happiness and joy is gone from her face, and body. Her whole form tenses up and she speaks very little. Her eyes dull. She becomes neutral and uncaring to pretty much anyone she is not emotionally close to. Selfishness is raging and prominent. When touched by someone who she is not close to, she lashes out a bit, either verbally or physically snapping at the person. This side obviously comes out in battle, so some of the only ones who see this side is the ones who she would call an enemy. This is one of the main reasons why she was capable of passing through the schools.
History:
Svetlana's mother and father were ecstatic when they found out there were expecting. They were trying for a long time now, and they finally were going to have a child of their very own. Her mother was knew she was going to have a little girl. It was those maternal instincts kicking in. This was going to be their first child, they were so proud. A few months past and her parents got more and more anxious, waiting for their little girl. At about seven months into the pregnancy her mother started experiencing odd abdominal pains and got herself to the closest ward. The doctor told her that the baby's movements were slow and unhealthy. Her parents were devastated, and her mother was a complete wreck. She felt as if it was all her fault for the baby's sudden turn in health. A few days later her mother went into premature labor.
Svetlana was a still-born.
The demon saw her chance, a fresh new Trinity girl she could have. A link to the physical world. She could help in the battle, she could help win for the Goddess. The baby was laying still, the doctors were trying to get her to cry, to get her to react, to get her to live. The demon dove in. A gasp of breath rose from the child, and then a wailing cry. She had lived. The parents tears had dried up, and they were overjoyed once more. They had their daughter. There was only one queer thing about the infant, the black void of a pupil should have been was a shining white space. The doctors wrote it off as a slight birth defect spawning from her premature birth.
Svetlana had an average childhood like any other. She was a giggling happy little girl. All smiles and joy. Her father treated her like the son he never had. He played rough games with her from time to time, wrestling, and playing with toy swords. She was always the valiant knight, never the damsel in distress. Days like this continued until she reached the age of ten. She knew what she wanted to do. She knew she would become a knight. Her parents enrolled her in the academy. Her demonic side came out in the schooling process. She rest in the dorm with her peers, trained with her peers, attended classes with her peers, but when it came to sparring she would lose control. Any moment she got scared or got hurt, she would change, and become darker, more serious and scary. Svet fought harder than she ever had before, until the moment she felt safe. This was when her demon matured. Tiny horns started to poke out of her hair. She was scared, she did not want to be kicked out or killed for being so diferent. She wore a hat from that day on, no one knew of her horns, of her demon. Not even her parents.
Six years of studying had gone by in a blink of an eye. It was her final exam, and the final sparring. She sat down in that classroom for the last time. The written test was short, nothing of being a knight was studying and classes, it was all the fight and protection. The final spar. Herself versus her master. She had to keep up a good fight. Svetlana was terrifyed out of her mind, and the demon took over. The fight lasted longer than any one she had ever encountered. The demon side fought long and hard, and she passed. The teachers noted that she never seemed like herself when fighting, and this one was no exception. Weird or not, she was now a knight. An official knight for the good of Trinity!
She had missed the first battle, but was a fresh new face to be entering the war. It was not exactly a pretty picture, but she was an ally none the less. She just would have to report to the other knights, and she would be ready.
